Carissa Stallsworth, LPCA

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Kentucky. I believe that healing happens through genuine connection, and I strive to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, respect, and acceptance. When life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of which direction to take, I aim to help you find your true north. My goal is to always provide a safe, compassionate space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin moving toward the life you want to live.

After spending nearly a decade as a first responder, and I loved the work. But I kept seeing the same thing; we’d handle the physical emergency, clear the scene, and go home. Meanwhile, the mental emergency was just setting in, for the people we helped, and for us. That’s what pushed me to become a therapist. Now I work with first responders and everyday people who are carrying things they never got to put down. If you’re dealing with trauma, burnout, or the weight of what you’ve seen, I get it. I’ve been there. My job now is to sit with you in the aftermath and help you move forward.

I also work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship concerns, and more. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child(ren), or your relationship, I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult. I pride myself in providing a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment.

I strive to encourage my clients to reach the best versions of themselves and I will be alongside you the entire journey to achieve that goal.
